Nijut Moina Scheme (Notice 2025)
August 4, 2025The Academic Monitoring Committee organized a ‘Induction & Counseling Program’ for first-semester students in the college auditorium today. The program was chaired by Principal Dr. Haren Hazarika. IQAC Coordinator Pranjal Saikia, Assistant Professors Rinkumoni Gogoi and Kamal Das delivered speeches on the curriculum and other topics. Several parents also shared their thoughts. Students Shubhalakshmi Dutta, Nitali Bora, and Neha Kalita performed modern dance, while students Devkamal Gogoi and Shyamal Jyoti Saikia presented songs. Academic observer Dr. Malamani Goswami moderated the programme, explained the objectives and spoke about the curriculum of the first semester. The students who completed the Internship course in July month were awarded certificates at the function.
August 7, 2025Report on the Inauguration of Mukhya Mantri Nijut Moina Scheme 2.0 at Golaghat Purbanchalik College :
In alignment with the directive of the State Government of Assam, Golaghat Purbanchalik College (GPC) proudly hosted the inauguration programme of the Mukhya Mantri Nijut Moina Scheme 2.0 on 6th August 2025. The event marked a significant step towards empowering girl students through financial and educational support.
The programme commenced with a live streaming of the official state-level launch, which was attentively followed by the guests, faculty members, and the girl students of the college. The initiative, aimed at encouraging higher education among girls, was met with enthusiasm and appreciation by all present.
The programme was graced by the presence of Mr. Rajmohan Nath, Chairman of DDA, Dergaon, and Mrs Sankhitya Shyam, circle officer, Khumtai revenue circle, Dergaon , who attended as honoured guests. Their presence added value to the event and reflected the seriousness with which the scheme is being implemented at the grassroots level.
Dr. Haren Hazarika, Principal of GPC, delivered the inaugural address, highlighting the objectives and benefits of the Nijut Moina Scheme 2.0. In his speech, he emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting the education of girls and ensuring their active participation in building a progressive society.
Following the speech, application forms for the scheme were distributed among the girl students of the 1st and 3rd semesters, allowing them to directly avail the benefits under this initiative.
The programme concluded on a positive and hopeful note, reinforcing the institution’s dedication to contributing meaningfully to the educational upliftment of young women in the region.
