Teachers’ Day Celebration at Golaghat Purbanchalik College

Celebration of the Birth Centenary of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika

On 15th September 2025, the Foundation Day of Golaghat Purbanchalik College was celebrated with great enthusiasm.
The celebration began at 9:30 AM with the flag hoisting by the Principal, Dr. Haren Hazarika. The ceremonial lamp was lit by local dignitary Dharmeswar Gogoi, and former Principal Anil Sarmah offered a memorial tribute.
The meeting was inaugurated with a chorus performed by the teachers and staff.
The objective of the meeting was explained by Vice Principal Dr. Malamoni Goswami.
The event was presided over by Principal Dr. Haren Hazarika. Speeches were delivered by former Principal Anil Sarmah, and local dignitaries Tapan Saikia, Dharmeswar Gogoi, and Safar Ahmed. From the teachers and staff side, Vice Principal Dr. Malamoni Goswami and Senior Assistant Safiqul Islam delivered speeches.
From the students, the following performances took place:
Modern songs by first-semester students Priyanki Gogoi, Lima Bora, Sangeeta Rajput, third-semester student Debokamal Gogoi, and first-semester student Utpal Das. A creative dance performance by third-semester student Nitali Bora. A Bihu song performance by the Head of the Economics Department, Pankaj Gogoi.
The meeting concluded with the national anthem, following the speech by the President of the meeting.
